If you're talking about 22s, I don't even know if Remington makes a full size 22lr 700 pattern gun anymore. The b14r is an excellent full sized 22 trainer.As pointed out by PWNolan, it very much depends upon the individual rifle. It also depends upon finding the cartridge that it likes. The MTR and the B14r (steel) may shoot lights out, shoot pretty well or be a dog. A couple of guys I shoot against use the MTR and do quite well.

I bought the 457 Varmint. The lightweight synthetic stock made the T1x feel less than a Tikka to me. I love Tikka centerfire rifles but was underwhelmed by the T1x. The 457 Varmint looks and feels like a high quality rifle. Either will be an amazing shooter, but for feel, looks, and pride of ownership it was CZ for me.
