It consists of a small vane-type air pump on a 12-volt electric motor and a solenoid-operated switching valve with a reference orifice.
The dmtl pump is mounted on the rear of the charcoal canister which is bolted to the car. There are 3 small screws that hold the pump to the the charcoal canister and they come out with a small torx bit.
