The era points mechanic is nice in Rise and Fall but it's nowhere near a must have IMO. Gathering Storm that's coming out now seems to add more meaningful things I think (with diplomatic power, congress, final win type and late game technology)Eleanor can lead either France or England, but to have the most fun as Eleanor, France is the advisable choice.
