Looking to finally upgrade to a nicer steel offset smoker. I'm leaning towards the Smoke North Carlisle at the moment, but also considering the Workhorse 1975t and the Shirley 24x48. I've added links to each below. I'm having trouble finding which of these would be more fuel efficient. Does 1/4 vs 3/8 thickness effect how much wood is required ... Smoking on the workhorse 1975. I also was able to heat the potatoes, green beans, and baked beans on it. I was able to maintain right at 250 with some fluctuations in the range of 225-275.
